Contains Lacto Bacteria, Clay, Montmorillonite, Zeolite and Calcium
Now I know there are other manufactures of the same thing that also make calcium based mineral stones but none of them are like this.
These cubes because of their composition slowly dissolve in soft water and barely dissolve at all in hard water, they will raise your GH and KH and give you a more stable PH.
Secondly I have added Lactobacillus to these cubes to put beneficial bacteria into your tank, this helps keep your tank super clean and it also helps with your shrimps digestion. This is very important as it means your shrimp get the most out of what they eat meaning they breed better and live longer.
These cubes are meant for harder water neocaridina tanks or tanks where you require the pH to be over 7 and the kH to be 1-2.
The cubes are designed to raise alkalinity by adding Calcium to the water column, a sign of a calcium deficiency in snails is they end up with pitted and eroded shells.(See pictures of before and after)
Dosage is different for every tank.I personally would add one to a 60L tank and see what happens to it, In soft water they will dissolve in a few days, In my neocaridina tanks I add one a week.
You will do best to use a GH and kH test kits and see what it is you need to add.
I have no idea why I have been buying shrimp anywhere else but from mark. Just received my painted red’s today (Wednesday) in the U.K. These were dispatched on Monday. Super fast delivery and they all survived and look happy. Thanks for the extra shrimp too .
I will be buying again that is for certain.
Thank you Mark.
Marks Shrimp Tanks
As an shrimp keeper I have a wealth of knowledge dating back almost 30 years and I have been breeding and keeping freshwater aquarium shrimp such as Red Cherry Shrimp, Crystal Red Shrimp, Taiwan Bee Shrimp for about 10 years.
Early in 2016 I decided to start my own YouTube channel called Marks Shrimp Tanks which you can find here https://goo.gl/JMPwor
I started my own channel to help others learn how to keep freshwater aquarium shrimp and I hope I can spread my passion for this wonderful hobby.
